We woke up in Belgium one more time. We will get back on the train for London this evening. We went to the National Gallery in the Grand Place and they had a wonderful photo collection showing the changes in Belgium from 1947 to 1957. It was incredible the changes that had occurred during those ten years. The dress, transportation, and interaction between people in public was striking.
After the Gallery we went and found the taspestry shop, the chocolate shop and the Tin Tin shop for Howard.
There is one thing I haven't mentioned but kept walking past and that is the very famous fountain called the Mannekin Pis. It is very famous I guess and must be the inspiration for the decals you see on some pick-up truck windows of a boy peeing. I finally gave in today and let Hilary take a picture of me in front of it.
The funny part for me is that there was a whole room in the National Gallery of the Mannekin Pis and his many costumes. Regardless of how he is dressed one thing remains the same and that is his penis is poking out. Yes, this is Jeanne and I can't believe what I am typing.
On to a sweeter topic. Every dessert menu offers a waffle with toppings.
After another lovely day, we walked to the train to head back to London, England.
I have one last thing to ask before I leave Belgium. How do you want your waffle?
